Die Mission war einfach: den bestmöglichen Touren-Innenschuh herzustellen. Der ZipFit Espresso ist leichter und somit ideal für längere Skitouren und hochalpine Expeditionen. Er ist das Ergebnis jahrelanger Entwicklung und Tests mit den weltbesten Skibergsteigern. Mit der Hälfte des Gewichts eines Standard-ZipFit-Innenschuhs verleiht der Espresso dir mehr Schwung und sorgt dafür, dass deine Tourenskischuhe über viele Saisons hinweg perfekt sitzen.

Der Espresso hat andere Rückgabebedingungen als andere ZipFit-Innenschuhe. Wenn der Espresso-Innenschuh thermoverformt oder damit Ski gefahren wurde, kann er nicht für eine Rückerstattung zurückgegeben werden.

Was ist Mondo-Größe? Mondo-Größen entsprechen der Fußlänge in cm.

WIE SIE IHRE MONDO-GRÖSSE FINDEN
Stellen Sie sich auf ein Blatt Papier, wobei Ihre Ferse an einer Wand liegt und Ihr gesamtes Gewicht auf den Fuß drückt, den Sie messen. Ziehen Sie dann eine Linie an Ihrem großen Zeh oder am längsten Punkt Ihres Fußes (wir sehen Sie, Morton-Zeh). Messen Sie die Länge vom Papier bis zur Linie in Zentimetern, und das ist Ihre Mondo-Größe. Messen Sie beide Füße und wählen Sie die Größe des kleineren Fußes.

Getreu der DNA unserer alpinen Innenschuhe bietet die flexible Schaumstoff-Zehenbox des Espresso weiterhin optimalen Komfort für den Vorfuß und sorgt gleichzeitig für schnelles Trocknen. Die Integration von Zehenbox und Zunge im Mokassin-Stil vermeidet Nähte über dem Spann, und unsere charakteristische asymmetrische Zunge bietet beste Interaktion mit dem Schienbein. Die Espresso-Innenschuhe sind dank Korköffnungen an Knöcheltasche und Zunge weiterhin vollständig individualisierbar. Eine innovative Manschettentasche ermöglicht es Skifahrern, das Manschettenvolumen durch Hinzufügen eines Spoilers anzupassen, ohne Reibungspunkte im Schuh zu erzeugen.

Passform-Überlegungen

In einer Welt, die vom Grammzählen beherrscht wird, wollten wir sicherstellen, dass die Passform des Espresso an erster Stelle steht. Wir haben nicht versucht, Gewicht zu sparen, indem wir die Menge an OMfit-Kork im Espresso reduziert haben, stattdessen haben wir die Korkmenge fein abgestimmt, um beim Auf- und Abstieg in progressiven Tourenskischuhen optimal zu funktionieren. Der Espresso passt am besten zu Tourenskischuhen in der Gewichtskategorie von ca. 1000-1250g. Skifahrer können jederzeit mehr Kork hinzufügen (separat erhältlich) an Zungen- oder Knöcheltaschen, um ihre perfekte Passform einzustellen.

The Espresso features a rear cuff pocket constructed of two-directional stretch Kevlar. Included with the liner is a HDPE foam volume reducer (best inserted when the liner is off the foot). The rear liner loop pulls down to open the pocket and the HDPE shim will form to the shape of your leg. Keeping the volume reducer contained within the liner eliminates any interference between spoilers attached to the back of a liner and a walk mechanism.

When lacing up the Espresso, stow the excess lace in the Kevlar cuff pocket.

The Espresso toe box is constructed of Flexalon, which heat molds to the shape of your feet but also provides stretch to accommodate the width of your feet. ZipFits have proven that a stretchy toe box alleviates pressure on the first and fifth met-heads when skiers buckle down their boots.

Flexalon is fast drying so for skiers winter camping or on expedition, the liners will dry out in your sleeping bag overnight.

The ZipFit tongue is built to reflect the asymmetry in the shape of the lower leg, with more padding on the medial side along the tibia and less padding on the lateral muscle of the shin. The pull tab should be centered on the leg for the tongue to be in the proper position.

Three cork pouches in each liner (located behind the top of the tongue and on either side of the instep) allow you to adjust the cork fill to dial in your perfect fit.

OMFit cork composite is the "active ingredient" in ZipFits, both because it remains dynamic and because it is the ingredient that heals the ailment of bad ski boot liners. It doesn't compress or pack out, it does move around so you can add more if needed.

The Espresso is constructed with a lycra stone face fabric on the exterior of the Ultralon foam to prevent abrasion and wear in a high friction environment like a touring boot.

Fore/aft flex is about promoting natural movement forward and backwards so that the liner/shell combo doesn't limit a skiers range of motion. A rear flex panel and front articulation points promote natural flexion while ascending but don't compromise power transfer on the descents.

Can I use ZipFits for Tele boots?

Yes! Tele skiers appreciate the benefits of ZipFits as much as anyone, especially the flexible and comfortable toe box. The GFT is a good option due to the flex panels for lower volume tele boots. We also commonly recommend the Freeride and Workhorse due to their fluted cuff which allows for a larger range of motion for dopping knees.
Do ZipFits work in Snowboard boots?

ZipFits are designed for the forces and fit requirements of skiing. We see plenty of snowboarders find success, but one should expect to make modifications to achieve their desired fit.
What’s better: leather or neoprene?

At all comes down to user preference.

Are you willing to lace up your liners and step into your shells before every use? Our leather lined ZipFits require this move, while our neoprene lined ZipFits are easier to step into. If your answer is “no way” – we suggest the neoprene ZipFits.

Leather offers a true to form fit meaning your ankles and shinbone will imprint into the leather, securing your lower leg and foot to the ultimate degree.

Neoprene has more natural cushioning, so while you can still get an excellent fit, they have a more forgiving feel when skiing.

Both interior liners can last a LONG TIME with proper care. While we think of leather as more durable, we know of a pair of neoprene liners with 1500 ski days.

For precision fit and performance, the leather has a slight advantage.

For ease of use and all mountain comfort, the neoprene has a slight edge.
I noticed some imperfections on my liners. Is this normal?

Each pair of ZipFits are handmade in Montebelluna, Italy. As they are not mass produced, it’s fair to expect some small imperfections with glue, etc. This will not effect the performance of the liners. Each pair is unique and made with love.
Should I use footbeds in my ZipFits?

Yes, we highly recommend using a good over the counter orthotic or custom foot bed in your ZipFits. ZipFits are designed to keep your foot and leg in the proper position within a boot, having the correct footbed for you will help immensely.
Should I buy an OMFit kit with my ZipFits?

For most skiers, this is not necessary, which is why we don’t include the cork kit with purchase. Some skiers find they want to add cork to their liners during the initial fit, some want to add cork after two seasons, and some never add cork to their ZipFits.
